Handheld Productions was established in 2003 by director/cameraman Douglas Campbell. Douglas has worked for the last 25 years as a cameraman for the BBC and in the freelance market. More recently he has co-produced and acted as director / cameraman on Raploch Stories, a 6 part documentary series for BBC Scotland.
Handheld Productions is currently involved in developing a network series for BBC TV for which a funded pilot has already been produced. The company also has projects in development with ITV and Channel 4.
On top of this Douglas was awarded a BAFTA in 2004, for his work on "In Search of the Tartan Turban".
